Bio: Alexandra (Alex) Detzner
Alex is a passionate Autistic Behavior Analyst and has worked in the field of ABA since 2016, with prior experience in both residential and vocational supports for disabled adults. She graduated with her Masters in Special Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Washington in 2019 and received her Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst that same year. She has worked with folks ranging in age from 2 to 52 years old and enjoys learning and growing alongside those she serves. Through use of the science of ABA, Alex prides herself on prioritizing the use of trauma-assumed practices that are supportive and affirming for all forms of neurodiversity through putting self-advocacy at the forefront of all skill building and client collaboration. When not working you can find Alex engaging with a variety of music and fabrication craft projects, working with fellow Autistic Advocates on making the Seattle area more Autism friendly and/or spending time with her beloved cat, Hermione.
