What is the Autistic Liberty Project?

Our team knows firsthand how many barriers to access people with disabilities face; one of those is accessing diagnostic services. Waitlists are often long and many diagnosing providers don't accept insurance coverage. If you're looking for services like ABA, OT, speech therapy or even just information and clarity for yourself or a loved one, you may be waiting for diagnostic services and facing a daunting wait or financial barriers. The Autistic Liberty Project is Prism Behavioral Consulting's attempt to lessen a little bit of the stress in this process.

How does it work?

Contributing to the fund:
  • Contribute to the Autistic Liberty Project's diagnostic fund by purchasing cool neurodiversity-affirming merchandise via our Etsy site. As the project grows, we're hoping to have more offerings!
  • All proceeds from the merchandise sold will go into the fund, which will be used to help individuals access diagnostic/evaluative services through a psychologist.
Applying for funding:
  • Email francesca.crispo@prismbehavioralconsulting.com for an application.
  • Complete and submit to Francesca Crispo.
  • You will be notified if you're approved for funding; it is provided on a first-come first-serve basis and there is no guarantee of diagnosis following evaluation. Please note that at this time, we have limited diagnostic providers participating and accessing their services will require travel to the Seattle area.
  • We will connect you with a diagnosing provider for scheduling and will pay the provider directly.
Participating as a diagnostic provider:
  • To participate in the Autistic Liberty Project as a diagnostic provider, please reach out to Francesca Crispo (Director/Owner) at francesca.crispo@prismbehavioralconsulting.com . We couldn't do this without you!
