Andrew Sabol: Bio
Andrew is 24 years old and has been living in Washington for 5 years now. He began working as a Behavioral Technician in 2023 after graduating from the University of Washington Bothell with a degree in Society, Ethics and Human Behavior. Growing up, he has always had a personal connection to the healthcare industry due to his diagnosis of Type One Diabetes at the age of 13. Aside from that, he has also been struggling with and working through his diagnosis of ADHD from a young age and thought of all the people and teachers who supported him through his education journey when he started looking to start a career post graduation. Working as a Behavioral Technician has been a great avenue that and he loves being able to come in every day and support students, school staff, and parents. The best part about being a BT is how each day is unique and the challenges that any given day may bring as well as being able to work with and see students improve throughout the year. Lastly, he loves being able to bring his unique lived and job experience to the role as he has worked and volunteered at daycares growing up, helped his parents raise his little brother, and was lucky to have an older brother on the autism spectrum which was able to give him a grounded, at home, experience for what the day to day of autism looks like and what navigating challenges may look like. Outside of work, he loves to play video games with Tetris being his favorite, watching and reviewing movies online with his brothers, and playing board games together online and offline with friends and family.
