Bio: Emily Tyra
Emily Tyra began working in the behavioral health field in 2016 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with honors in 2019. She is now pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to further her passion for connecting with and supporting others. Emily has supported children in early learning settings, provided behavioral therapy, and led diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote disability awareness. A lifelong volunteer, she began community service as a child in local nursing homes and has since contributed to more than a dozen organizations both locally and internationally, with her favorite being the Special Olympics. As a neurodiverse individual herself, Emily brings lived experience to her work and is deeply passionate about celebrating neurodiversity while empowering individuals to build confidence and self-advocacy skills. Outside of work, she enjoys roller skating, painting, film photography, and exploring nature with her Siberian Husky, Ozzy.
