Bio: Nicolle Simon
Nicolle has been supporting neurodivergent students in schools, summer programs, home, and clinic settings since 2008. She received her Master’s in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Washington in 2013, and after becoming a BCBA worked in an ABA-based private school for a couple of years before exploring work in public schools. As a school-based practitioner, Nicolle was contracted with public schools to support students with the highest levels of behavioral needs across ten districts in the Greater Seattle area. She really enjoys building relationships with a variety of students and helping them meet their goals. She also loves teaching others about behavior analysis, and has supervised many BCBA students, led district-wide trainings, and taught a course on behavior (SPED472-Behavior Assessment and Intervention) for Western Washington University’s Teacher Education Outreach Program for four years as an Adjunct Professor. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family (especially her sweet nephew), weaving, going on neighborhood walkabouts, caring for her many houseplants, and reading.
