Bio: Yasmin Garfias
Yasmin (she/her) graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2021. She has practiced as a Behavior Technician for 1.5 years; she is currently working towards becoming a BCBA and is attending the UW to pursue a Masters in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. Prior to joining the field, Yasmin gained experience as an author and researcher in the RISE Mental Health lab at UW where she studied equity in community mental health and evidence-based treatments for children and adolescence. She strives to promote self-advocacy and independence in neurodiverse individuals through evidence-based and compassionate ABA. She enjoys spending time with her cat Nova, exploring Seattle with friends, painting and crocheting.
