Bio: Yasmin Garfias
Yasmin is a first-generation college graduate who earned her B.A. in Psychology (2021) and M.Ed. in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis (2025) from the University of Washington. She has practiced as a CBT since 2021 and became a LABA in October 2024. Yasmin has experience supporting neurodiverse individuals across clinic, home, school, and community settings, with interests in alternative communication modalities, self-advocacy, and compassionate, evidence-based intervention. Before becoming a clinician, she contributed to research in the RISE Mental Health Lab at UW, studying equity in community mental health and evidence-based treatments for youth. Outside of work, Yasmin enjoys spending time with her cat Nova, exploring Seattle with friends, and curating playlists on Spotify.
